Folding Chair designed by Lina Bo Bardi for the first headquarters of the São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP) and manufactured by Studio de Arte Palma (1948-1951).
Lina Bo Bardi founded the Palma Studio de Arte e Arquitetura with Giancarlo Palanti in 1948 to design economical furniture of pressed wood or plastic manufactured by Pau Brasil Ltda. However, the Studio de Arte Palma and the Pau Brasil factory was shut down in 1951 due to a lack of orders.
Re-issues on this folding chair are available through ETEL Interiores, Brazil.
