Vintage “Sling” coffee tables had a removable leather or wooden top. Don designed a very clever locking system based on screws that were attached to the top of the table on each corner. This was the axis for a small piece of wood that could revolve in order to fasten the top and the main structure of the coffee table. To make the tightening and loosing easier he used wing knots. Pay attention to the worn leg, proof of its vintage condition.
