The Petalas Coffee Table was inspired by flowers; each of its eight petals are made of wood panels. Artist and designer Jorge Zalszupin uses 8 panels of wood formed in a smooth curve in a continuous line of leaves in order to bring the legs. The rich finish highlights the wood – Pau Ferro – and its natural grain. Jorge Zalszupin’s furniture is available through Etel Interiores. Alongside new, own-label designs by Etel Carmona’s design team, which are in the tradition of the Brazilian Modernists’ superior handwork, Etel Interiores have also reissued work by Gregori Warchavchik and the design collective Branco & Preto.
