Deriving from the traditional Ligurian chair of Chiavari, the “Superleggera”, is the indisputable fruit of Gio Ponti#8217;s study and Cassina#8217;s ability and skill in experimentation and working. By means of progressive lightening of the structure (a triangular section of just 18mm at the side) and modification of the shape of the struts, a particularly strong chair weighing only 1.66 Kg. was achieved. Produced and sold by Cassina for almost 50 years. Part of the “I Contemporanei” Collection.
